Small orangery or summerhouse at east end of garden wall. Late
C18. Brick with moulded stone cornice and flat stone architraves
and impost bands, corrugated plastic roof. Three ogee arches to
front and one to each side, with remains of glazing in lakeside
window on right hand return, central arch being an open arch,
remainder long windows with stone sills. Joined to garden wall
once encircling the deer park and in crinkle-crankle form on north
side of man-made lake, of brick with plain stone coping in places
and some small raking buttresses, about 2m high on average but in
variable condition at time of survey (March 1986). At junction of
wall and summerhouse, where wall slopes down to lake, bricks are
almost tumbled in to horizontal courses of summerhouse.
