House. Circa 1450 origin with C18, C19 and later alterations and additions.
Timber framed and weatherboarded. Red plain tile roofs, that to left crosswing
hipped. Left and right chimney stacks. 2 storeys with C20 left grey slated
single storey extension. 1:1:2 window range of vertically sliding sashes with
glazing bars, those to crosswing tripartite. Small paned French doors to right.
6 panelled door, moulded surround, moulded and dentilled open pediment on
brackets. Original build of 2 bays, heavy moulded bridging joist with run out
stops, jowled storey posts. Two 3 board doors with hinges. Restored red brick
fireplace with chamfered mantel beam. C18 features include, stick balusters to
staircase. Fine moulded and dentilled fire surround matching alcoves witn
patera to right and left. Moulded dados, skirtings, architraves, doors and
shutters. Fire surround to bedroom with moulded cast iron basket grate. Alcove
cupboard. C19 cast iron fire surround to other bedroom.
