Detached house. Early C19. Limestone ashlar, Welsh slate hipped
roof, ashlar stacks. Two-storey, 3-window. Central 4-panelled
door up stone steps, fanlight and sidelights with diamond glazing
bars, cast-iron supports to tent porch, 16-pane sash either side
with blind box and dripstone; bays divided by pilasters. First
floor has three 16-pane sashes. Basement with chamfered
rustication, left and right returns have two 16-pane sashes to
ground and first floors, basement of right return has two small
pairs of sashes. Rear has 16-pane sashes and 6-panelled door, rear
service wing with casements and small sashes.
Interior: entrance hall with open well stairs with stick balusters
and wreathed handrail, original joinery; 6-panelled doors in
moulded architraves, window shutters. Front drawing rooms have
marble fireplaces, room to right has vine plaster ceiling margin
and fruit and floral-decorated ceiling frieze, room to left of
entrance has scrolled ceiling frieze.
