Warehouse. Late C19. Red brick in Flemish bond with stone and artificial stone dressings. Roof parapetted. Four storeys over basement. Elegant curving range to no. 31, six-window range, debouching to alley of nearby Church of St. Andrew-by-the-Wardrobe; full-height hoist bay separates no. 31 from no. 32 which has a three-window range and a second hoist bay at right party wall. Flat-arched ground-floor openings articulated into broad and narrow bays by brick piers with Composite capitals and stucco-faced Tuscan antae. Entrances in first- and third-window range of no. 31 and in hoist ranges. At end walls, party walls, and walls flanking hoist bays the piers are topped by doubled brackets to the entablature fascia. All windows with original glazing. The great economy of design shown in the upper floor, as much as the structure's plan, give it special architectural character. All upper-floor windows are segmental arched, with lintels of gauged brick springing from flush imposts; the wall between each window reduced to a narrow pier. First-floor windows nearly floor-to-ceiling; sill bands to second and third floors. Entablature band with coved cornice. All horizontal mouldings interrupted by hoist bays, the doors to which are of an original design. Hoists of original design to fifth-window range and top floor of right-hand hoist bay; that between of later vintage. Cast-iron columns, Greek Cross in section, support wood beams on ground floor. Upper floors not inspected. Forms a very strong group with nos. 7, 35, and 36 St.Andrew's Hill.
