House, 1698. Sandstone rubble with slate roof. 2 storeys. Drip course rises
over door lintel. Windows rebated and chamfered with mullions. On each side
of the door is a window formerly of 4 lights with one mullion remaining. At
the far left is a one-light fire window, now blocked. Above on the 1st floor
is a similar blocked window. The other 1st floor windows are of 3 lights, 2
lights, and 3 lights. The door has a chamfered surround with battlemented
lintel -inscribed: 'JSD 1698'. Gables have chimneys and copings with kneelers.
The right-hand (east) gable wall has 2 one-light chamfered attic windows. At
the rear is a stair turret with mullioned windows. Inside, the ground floor
has cased axial main joists. In the attic are 2 trusses with curved
principals, one constructed from re-used crucks.
