1725, but has a later C18 appearance. 3 storeys. Symmetrical south front of
4 windows, hipped slate roof with wide eaves on coupled curved brackets. Stucco
walling, projecting bands at 1st and 2nd floors, plinth. Sashes in reveals.
Early C19 angled bay to ground floor west side. West (entrance) front of 2:1:
2 windows, with early C19 2 storeyed 3 window wing to the north. Similar fea-
tures but a parapet to the wing. Elegant bow-shaped central porch with lightly-
moulded cornice and frieze (underside reeded), resting on 2 slender Tuscan
columns with ½ columns against the walls, all on stone steps. Thin curved walls
between columns and ½ columns. Within the porch an arched doorway with archi-
trave surround to delicate fanlight, sliding panelled shutters: a plain reveal
leads to glazed inner door, also with a fanlight. There are extensive attached
and detached modern buildings in red brickwork.
