Gateway. c.1530, rebuilt c.1833. Greenstone rubble blocks, some
ironstone rubble, limestone ashlar, some render. Four-centred
arch with inner roll mouldings on soffit supported on crude
corbels and rendered. Outer order chamfered. Hood mould with
head label stops. 4 weathered coat of arms in spandrels.
Rectangular top coped with band of lozenge decoration and large
statue of a crowned lion passant probably by C. J. Carter of
Louth. Low C20 iron gates.
