One block. Cl8 front to older building, 3 storeys. Brick, painted on ground
floor. String at lst floor cill level. Dentilled brick string over 1st floor
windows. Parapet with stone coping. Mansard old tile roof. 2 windows, architrave
frames, on 2nd floor. 3 windows on lst floor, central false. No 25 has plain
early C19 shop front with 4 bay windows and large modern glazed door at left
hand all framed with pilasters, plain frieze and cornice.
No 26 has wide 6-panel door, top panels glazed, flush type, in 3-centred deep
arched recess under central upper window, and one window, 4 panes wide, in
similar arched recess to right hand.
Wing at back C16 timber framed with brick infilling and stone tiled hipped
roof. Irregular windows.
Nos 23 to 41 (consec) and the part of the National Westminster Old Bank in
Market Place form a verv fine group.
