Farmhouse. Early C19 with C17 origins. Rendered rubble, stone dressings, stone
slate roof. 2 storeys, 4 bays. Entrance right of centre in 2 storey gabled
porch. Probably originally a single-storey open porch with Tuscan columns,
ground floor now infilled, and single light ground floor window inserted, with
additional upper floor 2 light flat faced mullioned window with single light
to left-and right-hand return; 4 pane fixed lights. Left-and right-hand returns
to porch contain late C19 plank doors. 3 windows per storey all 2-light flat
faced mullioned, sashes with glazing bars. C17 left and right hand ridge stacks
at former gables, left-hand stack now at junction with additional bay, right-hand
at junction with barn. Interior not accessible. Reputedly a former posting
inn before the construction of the Keighley-Kendal turnpike.
