House, formerly farmhouse and previously manor-house. A manor house on
this site is mentioned in 1397 and the existing building is of this date
or soon after, an open hall with crosswing, with early C17 inserted
floor refronted in C18 and with large late C20 wing to north west.
Timber framed with frame exposed on 1st floor with curved door braces
and late C18 diaper bond brick ground floor. Part of south east front
weatherboarded to 1st floor and south west front is tile hung to 1st
floor. Tiled roof with 2 brick chimneystacks including external one to
south east with stone base. 2 storeys 3 windows. C20 wooden casements.
Interior features include C17 newel post and some panelling, a roll
moulded dais beam, open fireplace, early C17 inserted ceiling with
chamfered spine beam with lambs tongue stop, plank doors, jowled posts
