Farm House; C17 with C19 alterations. Coursed limestone rubble
with raised stone coped gables with short stacks and plain tile roof.
L-plan 2 storey with garret 5 bay front with evidence of earlier fene-
stration visible. A central C20 door is flanked by 2 C20 aluminium
sash windows in C19 openings. Above are 3 similar smaller sashes. All
openings have deep painted flat stone lintels. Interior has late C17
oak dog leg staircase with turned balusters, a large inglenook fireplace
with stop chamfered beam and moulded beams with shield shaped stops.
The garret is reached by a newel stair from the first floor, the newel
post for which carries down to ground level. The C17 roof is a
clasped purlin type.
