Row of 7 cottages. Nos 24 and 25 of late C17 refaced c.1840; Nos 26-30 of early
C18 refronted early C19. Nos 24 and
25 are timber-framed, faced in mid C19 Broseley brick; Nos. 26-30 of squared and
coursed sandstone refronted in red brown brick; gabled old plain tile roof;
C18/early C19 rear ridge stacks, large rear lateral stack to Nos. 24 and 25 of
late C17 brick with mid C19 brick flue. Each cottage of 2-room plan. 2 storeys;
8-window range. Segmental header arches over late C19/early C20 half-glazed doors
and over tall C20 ground-floor windows, except early C19 two-light cross casement
to No 26; dentilled brick eaves, broken by C20 two-light casements except early
C19 to Nos 26, 29 and 30. Nos 24 and 25 have cambered brick arches over C20
doors, large C20 window to No 25 and 12-pane sash to No 24; first floor has 9-pane
sash to No. 24 and C20 window to No . 25. C19/C20 extensions to rear. Interior:
chamfered spine beam and blocked open fireplace to No. 29, chamfered spine beam to
No. 28, Nos 24 and 25 have exposed timber frame, stop-chamfered beams and joists,
and late C17 floorboards; C17 plank door beneath stairs, blocked open fireplace
with late C17 moulded mantleshelf to No. 24.

Row of 7 cottages. Early C19 with C17 origins. Red brown brick (No 29
whitewashed) with plain-tile roof and brick rear ridge and rear lateral
stacks. Plinth and brick dentil eaves. Squared stone walling visible to
rear. 2 storeys. 8-window range in all of 2-light casements with sashes to
Nos 24 and 25. 9-pane shop window to No 30, wood cross window to No 25, and
12-pane sash to No 24. Part-glazed doors up steps, but C20 door to No 25 and
4-panel door to No 24. Brick cambered arches to ground floor. Rears have
various lean-to extensions. No 29 has massive chamfered spine beam and
blocked open fireplace and No 28 noted as having similar beam. Other
interiors not inspected.
