House. Late C15 or early C16 service end of a hall-house and rear wall of hall, with C17
ceiling to former hall, C17 outshot, staircase and cellar, refronted in mid C19. Timber-framed
building clad in front in stock brick in Flemish bond with slate roof and end brick
chimneystacks. Left side partly stuccoed with incised lines to imitate masonry. Rear elevation
tile hung. Front of roof slate, rear has steeply-pitched tiled roof. Two storeys and attics in gable
end; 3 windows. Front has two 6-pane sashes to first floor, two 12-pane sashes to ground floor
and central doorcase with round-headed fanlight. Adjoining C19 coach house to right of brown
brick with tiled roof and casement window. Left side has one C19 casement and attic window
and ground floor lean-to-with casement. Rear has 2 large hipped dormers and C20 brick
extension. Interior retains two 4-centred service doors, roll-moulded beam, curved brace and
C17 ceiling to lounge with bridging beam, lamb's tongue stops and floor joists. Plank door on
ground floor. Dining room has chamfered beam, probably C18. Cellar has round-headed niche.
Winder staircase. C17 rafters visible on first floor.
