Headstone. Dated 1783 in memory of Mary Dix. Upright sandstone slab standing
approx 1.75m high. Its shaped head is enriched with carved scrolls around an
oval panel carved with a winged hourglass with a skull above and fronds below.
The inscription is Roman serif upper and lower case lettering including some
italics and it records the death of Mary Dix in 1783.
