Chest tomb. Early C19. Sandstone ashlar. Rectangular plan. Moulded
plinth and capping with reeded square corner balusters; frieze with
reeded decoration interspersed with rosette and urn motifs to long sides,
scrolled leaf decoration and urns to ends. Top ledger commemorates John
Rowley (died 1809) of Bower End and his third wife. Further inscriptions
to his former wife, Elizabeth (died 1779) - north side; and their son,
Revd. Samuel Rowley (died 1793?) - south side.
