1854, by Frederick Hyde Pownall. Ex militia barracks and gun powder factory.
2-storeyed pedimented main building 3 bays wide with quoins left and right.
Central doorway in gibbs surround. Sash windows with glazing bars; front
floor windows with margin panes. Brown brick; slated roof. Brown brick walls
with coping link the buildings east and west to single-storey wings, also pedimented
and quoined and also of brown brick and with slated roofs. They have semi-circular
openings with rusticated surrounds (only 1 intact).
