Synagogue, formerly French Protestant Church. Opened 1766, altered C19 and C20.
Brick. Symmetrical facade of 3 storeys. 3 main bays. Central semicircular headed
entrance. Semicircular headed sashed windows, in triplets to outer bays. Parapet.
Interior retaining C18 gallery with Doric columns and triglyph frieze with guttae.
Arched sashed windows at gallery level, retaining glazing bars. Modillion cornice
and coved ceiling. Later apse with flanking pilasters, etc.
