metres north-west of the bridge

County Bridge Stone. Early C19. Small granite upright, about 40 cms high with
rounded top, built into the hedgebank. Letter C carved on its face. The stone
marks the extent of roadway adjoining the bridge that the County was obliged to
maintain.
