Farmhouse, now house. Mid C18 with earlier origins and with C19 and C20 alterations
and renovation. Red brick, the front of c.1840 in Flemish bond with chequer pattern
in buff brick. Blue plain-tile roof with brick projecting end stacks. Brick
dentilled eaves. 2 storeys and attic. 3-window range of a 3-light casement either
side a central 2-light. C20 gabled porch and part-glazed door with overlight.
3 dormers. Hipped and lean-to roofed extension on left end. To rear are small
earlier timber-framed wing and C19 extensions altered C20. Interior: chamfered
beams with jewel stops, open fireplace with reused bressumer inserted long ago.
Fireplace hood visible on 1st floor. 6-panel and plank doors. Early C19 fireplace
and grate. Exposed timbers in rear wing. C20 stairs. Queen-post roof with old
purlins.
