C18 front to C16/C17 building. 2 storeys and attic white mathematical tile
front, 1st floor oversailing on deep stucco moulded band with 3 irregularly
spaced scrolled consoles. Gable end old tile roof. 3 hipped dorers each with
small bracketed cornice and 3 light casement.
Angular bay window with moulded cornice and panelled apron to left handon 1st
floor and 3 3-light rectangular bays of slight projection with main cornice
broken round at head. On ground floor - 8-panel central door with radiating
fanlight in rusticated stucco surround flanked, by Doric pilasters and under
porch of 2 Doric columns supporting entablature and pediment. 2 windows to
left hand of door and 3 windows and 2 6-panel secondary doors to right hand.
Windows are flush framed sashes, glazing bars intact to loft, and panelled
shutters on ground floor. No 38 has ground floor with C17 panelling throughout,
Ionic pilaster frame to fireplace. Good fireplace 1st floor drawing room.
Ceiling cove has late C18/early C19 sepia panels depicting Music and Painting.
No 34 has room with C16 panelling and fireplace.

Nos 32 to 42 (even) form a group.
