Circa 1840 painted stucco terrace of 4 storeys attic and basement. Rusticated
up to 1st floor level which has continuous cast iron balcony on pairs of cut
stone brackets. 2nd and 3rd floor sill courses, frieze and projecting eaves
cornice. Pedimented dormers and later attic casements in low gable end slate
roof. Broad stucco corniced chimney stacks. 18 windows in all, sashes a few
retaining glazing bars. Those on 1st floor full length in architrave surrounds
with flat wreathed brackets supporting cornices over. Upper floor windows have
architrave surrounds, eared on 1st floor, with moulded sills projecting from
sill courses on block consoles. Most of-doors altered but 2 remaining of 6
fielded panels, double, rectangular fanlights. An effective terrace block
forming background to tile Museum and the adjoining Museum terrace of shops
which forms the retaining wall of the Cliff Bridge Terrace with flight of steps,
