Farmhouse, now house. Late C16-early C17, altered in late C17. Plastered cob on
rubble footings; stone stacks topped with C20 brick; wheat reed thatched roof. L-
shaped building with main block facing south-east having a 2-room-and-through-
passage plan and rear block at right angles behind right room. Lateral stack to
front of right room and axial stack between main block and rear wing. 2 storeys.
Irregular 2-window front of C20 2-light casements and large slate-roofed oven
projection to right of doorway. Roof hipped each end. To rear first floor
casement includes one light of leaded rectangular panes. Gable end of rear block
has a ground floor late C16-early C17 oak window of 5-lights with mullions
chamfered externally but ovolo-moulded internally. Rear block remains from late
C16-early C17 house and includes chamfered oak cross beam with late step stops and
parts of volcanic stone fireplace. Front block completely rebuilt in late C17
although an oak plank-and-muntin screen was reused on right side of passage. It is
inscribed TP 1692 which may be the date of the rebuild.
