and 20 metres south-east of the Roundhouse (qv). Late C19.
Granite. Placed by the Metropolitan Cattle Trough and Drinking
Fountain Association in memory of the Christian Socialist
Charles Kingsley. Initials of donors largely obscured. Large
and bold inscription along long flank identifying it as the
work of the Metropolitan Cattle Trough and Drinking Fountain
Association. Forms a pair with the adjoining drinking fountain
(qv) and a group with the Roundhouse (qv).
