Restored C15 timber framed building of 2 storeys and attic, 4 windows. Gabled
right bay has jettied lst floor on brackets with dragon beam at right angle.
High pitched tiled roofs. Exposed stout timber framing with plaster filling.
Modern lattice casements and plank door in keeping with old structure. Rear
elevation shows exposed framing with plaster filling on 1st floor and modern
brick on ground floor. C19 brick on left return. Inside exposed timber and
restored crown post in attic. Messrs Whitmores have run the tannery on this
site for 300 years.
Nos 86 to 96 (even) form a group.
