Mid/later C19, Six pairs of substantial stone houses. Nos 1 to 4 and 9 to
12 are 2 storeys. Each 4 windows, central 2 Set forward with blocking topped
by 2 urns above eaves-cornice to hipped slated roof. 2 storeyed bay window
to each house and arched doorway with order of Doric pilasters. Corniced 1st
floor windows. Plain returns with added stair to No 1 and rear entrance to
No 12. Nos 5 to 8 are similar but 3 storeys. Arched ground floor openings
and 2-storeyed bay windows set forward at either end with crowning balustrades
and pediments over. Fire escape to flank of No 5.
These houses form part of the setting of People's Park.
