House, now shop. Early C18 with late C19 and C20 alterations.
Painted brick in Flemish bond with timber shopfront and
moulded modillion cornice; tiled roof with brick stack.
EXTERIOR: 3-storey 2-window front. Shopfront of plain
pilasters and moulded dentil cornice on carved brackets with
glazed door between plate glass windows. First and second
floor windows are 4-pane sashes with painted stone sills and
painted flat arches of rubbed brick. Rear: 3-storey 1-window
wing with brick-coped gable. Lower floors obscured by later
building: renewed 2-light window to second floor. Raised brick
bands visible to second and attic floors.
INTERIOR: close string staircase from first to second floors
with turned balusters, square newels and moulded handrail.
3-panel doors survive on first floor.
