Pair of small houses. Mid C19; altered. Painted roughcast
render with painted sandstone dressings; slate roof with stone
gable coping to No.32. Double-depth plan, No.32 single-fronted
and No.34 double-fronted.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 3+2 windows, with raised quoining and a
1st-floor sillband. No.32 has the doorway to the right and
No.34 is symmetrical with the doorway in the centre, both
round-headed with pilaster jambs, moulded imposts, moulded
head with enriched keystone, and set-in wooden pilaster
doorcase, 4-panel door and fanlight with radiating glazing
bars. No.32 has a large hornless 16-pane sash at ground floor
and 2 similar 12-pane sashes above, all these windows with
raised quoined surrounds and moulded brackets to the sills,
and that at ground floor now furnished with louvred external
shutters. No.34 has C20 bay windows at ground floor and
12-pane sashes at 1st floor like those at No.32. Chimneys on
the front and rear slopes at the junction, and a side-wall
chimney to No.34. Rear and interior not inspected.
Forms group with Nos 28 and 30 (qv) to the right, and with Nos
36 and 38 (qv) to the left.
