Shop and offices. Early C19. Timber-framed and rendered with
plain tile gambrel roof with half-hipped ends.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys with attic and cellar; 3-window range.
Front has timber-framed parapet and 2 segmental-headed dormers
with small-paned sash windows. Painted timber moulded cornice.
1st floor has 2 wide, and one central narrow, sash windows
with small panes and moulded surrounds. Ground floor has two
C20 tripartite-like fixed windows with small panes and central
pedimented doorcase with thin pilasters and consoles. Broad
moulded architrave around C20 door and flight of 2 steps with
cast-iron and wrought-iron handrails. Rendered plinth with 2
cellar openings, one blocked.
Rear elevation has 2 tall red-brick stacks and projecting
cupboard extensions with lean-to roofs and one lean-to dormer.
INTERIOR: 2 rooms on each floor with central hall/staircase
bay. The contemporary dogleg staircase has column newel, stick
balusters with moulded arrises and rises to attics. 1st floor
rooms each have contemporary architraves and simple fire
surrounds, one with shouldered architrave. Cupboards adjoining
have early C19 doors.
