Shops with offices. Early C19. Painted brick with Welsh slate
roof with off-centre stack and plain parapet.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys; 3-window range. 2nd floor has string band
above a recessed sash window with central vertical glazing
bar, either side of a central blind recess. 1st floor has
similar central blind recess and 2 canted oriels with lead
flats, moulded cornices and sash windows with central vertical
glazing bars. The ground floor has 2 stuccoed contemporary
shop fronts under an architrave with delicately moulded
cornice, now obscured by C19 blind boxes; 9 thin panelled
pilasters with consoles frame 2 square shop windows, 2 shop
doors and a central double door with raised-and-fielded panels
and rectangular fanlight. The shop windows have
elliptical-arched heads and fan detail on spandrels.
Projecting diamond motif on architrave centred over each shop
front.
INTERIOR: the 1st-floor oriels have internal folding shutters
on their reveals.
