GV II*

House, now shop. Late C15, refronted in late C18; mid C19
alteration and shopfront; renovated 1954. Timber-framed, front
of buff-orange brick in English garden-wall bond, rear
rendered; timber guttering on paired modillions; pantile roof
with brick stack.
EXTERIOR: 3-storey 1-window front. Shop has glazed door with
divided overlight to left of 2x8-pane horizontal sliding sash
window. 4-pane hung sashes on first and second floors. Rear: 3
storeys and attic; 1-window gable wall, timber-frame exposed.
Windows are horizontal sliding sashes, of 3x12 panes on ground
floor, 2x or 3x6 panes on first and second floors and to
attic.
INTERIOR: timber-frame remains substantially intact on all
floors. Close string staircase with turned balusters and
moulded handrail rises around open well to second floor.
