Outbuilding, now house. Late C16. Timber-framed and ashlared
render with plain tile gabled roof; rear wall is of black
weatherboarding with tall stack.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 3-window range. North-west front has
2-storey gabled porch; 1st floor has two 12-pane
horizontal-sliding casements with moulded surrounds and a
9-pane, casement to porch front. Ground floor has 2
horizontal-sliding casements as above, and two 8-pane top-hung
windows in moulded surrounds. The porch has boarded C20 door
and C20 plain casements in flanks. South-west flank has a
single-light casement over a similar 2-light casement, both of
C20.
Old well immediately to rear of south-west flank has brick

Building is linked on north-east flank to Holloway House (not

INTERIOR: good quality timber-framed service outbuilding of 3
bays with rooms on ground and 1st floor at south-west end.
Other 2 bays formed large chambers with A-frame roof and long
strip windows as at Rivenshall Farmhouse, Greenstead Green

Remarkably complete building of unusual type.
