House and shops, now office and shops. Early C19 with later
alterations. Coursed squared gritstone, slate roof, hipped on
left.
2 storeys over basement storey with shop premises on left
return. Central panelled door and overlight with glazing bars
in recessed round-arched surround with keystone and impost
blocks. Sash windows, with glazing bars to right, probably
part of No.218A (qv), the remainder with 4 panes. Stone wedge
lintels to ground floor. Continuous 1st-floor sill band.
Central stack straddles ridge. Left return, to road: the lower
ground floor has 2 late C20 shop windows; 4-pane sashes and
blind recesses to upper floors.
