Wall and gate piers to Church of St
Michael

GV II

Wall and gate piers. Probably 1885. Coursed squared rock-faced
gritstone, chamfered ashlar coping. Overall length approx
180m, on sloping ground enclosing NW, NE and SE sides of the
graveyard, 3 or 4 courses high, stepping down along Bainbrigge
Road. Gate piers to NE of Church of St Michael (qv): square,
Gothic Revival style, approx 2m high, pilasters, pyramid
capstones with cusped gablets; gateway blocked.
