Anglican church. 1880. By Richard Adams and John Kelly.
Rock-faced ashlar, plain ashlar for crossing tower and spire,
slate roofs.
PLAN: massive crossing and tower spire, with nave and chancel
aligned NE-SW, cruciform plan with clerestory to nave and
entrances in transept and porch which is gabled. Gothic
Revival style.
EXTERIOR: paired and lancet windows, plate tracery, arcading
to clerestory of nave and transepts. Tower with 2-light belfry
windows, pinnacled corner turrets, spire.
INTERIOR: re-ordered: nave underceiled, 5 bays, cylindrical
columns, carved heads of saints at springers of arches;
chancel and transepts divided off, panelled ceiling of
crossing has painted figures of angels holding scrolls, glass
of NE window has figures reset.
