Memorial to Samuel Morley. 1920. By J Else. Ashlar. Bronze
bust on a tapered square pedestal, set in front of a larger
pedestal with stepped top. On each side, a curved screen wall
with stone seats, ending in a square pedestal.
Samuel Morley (1809-86), whose family were important hosiery
manufacturers in Nottingham, was well known as an MP and
philanthropist.
