House, formerly crosswing of mansion of which this is the remaining portion. Early C17, with minor alterations of late C17 or early C18 date and refronted in later C18 when a bakehouse was added to western end of the north elevation. Built of ashlar with half-hipped tiled roof with end gables and C17 external chimneystack to rear with 2 diagonally set stacks and late C18 bakehouse of red brick. Two storeys; front has 3 dormers, 4 small casements on first floor and 2 large cambered casements to ground floor, all with small square leaded panes. Deep plinth. Right side elevation has 2 cambered casements and cambered doorcase. Other elevations retain 5 early C 17 chamfered mullioned windows. C 18 bakehouse attached to rear is in English bond with casement windows, Interior retains a wide fireplace with timber lintel to kitchen with mark of former spit mechanism. Late C 18 roof of 7 bays of staggered butt purlin construction with a contemporary ridgeboard. The house was assessed in the 1662 Hearth Tax Returns at 7 flues but only one remains,
