Marked on OS as Freemasons' Hall.
Hall, formerly part of mansion, now part of the Music Hall
(qv). C14. Roughly coursed and squared sandstone raised in
brick with plain tiled roof. Hall and cross wing plan. Open
hall with close-studded timber-framed gable walls and
hammerbeam curved principal roof with cusped windbraces and
quatrefoil frieze at wall-plate level, extensively restored
following fire in 1917. Two splayed mullioned and transomed
windows in each side, partially blocked, and inserted dormer
windows in the roof. 2-storey cross wing with panelled beamed
ceiling.
