Terrace wall to south and east of
Banner Cross Hall

GV II

Terrace wall. 1817-21. Designed by Sir Jeffry Wyatville for
General Murray. Squared dressed stone with chamfered ashlar
coping and pier caps. Battered outer face. South side has
steps to left and a square projecting bay to right. Curved
east side has a pair of gate piers to right. Approx 200m long.
The house "gains a great deal....from the high retaining wall
between the upper and lower garden levels." (Linstrum).
