Farm cottage and attached cowshed, cruck barn and bull pen.
Early C18 and late C18, with late C20 alterations and
additions. Coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings. Stone
slate roof to the house with 2 coped gable stacks. Stone slate
roofs to the other buildings and Welsh slate roof to the cruck
barn.
EXTERIOR: house has quoins and a coped gable. 3 storeys; 2
window range. Two C20 2-light casements and above, 2 smaller
casements. Below, C20 lean-to porch to right, with a 2-light
casement to left and a single light one to right. To right,
single storey lean-to addition with a single window. Rear has
two 2-light windows with chamfered mullions, and to left, a
small window with chamfered surround.
Cowshed, at right angles to the house, has a central board
door flanked to left by a smaller door and to right by a
larger stable door with wooden lintel.
Cruck barn, to its right, has a central blocked doorway with
chamfered stone surround, flanked to left by a wide doorway
with stone lintel and to right by a doorway with plain stone
surround. Right gable has a pitching eye. INTERIOR has a
reused pair of crucks with collars, tie beams and ridge.
Bull pen, to right, has a cart opening to left and a stable
door to right, with wooden lintel. Gable has 2 blocked
openings.
