Farmhouse, now house. Mid/late C16, with early C17 cross wing added
to left. Timber-framed, divided into small panels with brick infill;
gabled plain tile roofs; brick rear lateral stacks. 2-unit plan with
cross wing. Two storeys; 2-window range. C20 door and casements; gable
end of cross wing to right has ovolo-moulded bressummer to first-floor
jetty. C.1980 one-storey extension to rear. INTERIOR: exposed
timber framing. Mid/late C16 range to left has quartered stop-chamfered
beams and joists in main room divided by timber-framed partition (with
blocked doorway) from small service room to left; right-hand gable
wall, formerly an exterior wall, has moulded bressummer to first-floor
jetty; 2-bay queen-post roof with criss-cross pattern to wattle and
daub panels of off-centre truss. Cross-wing to right has similar stop-
chamfered beams, but with later form of jointing to joists; 2-bay
collar-truss roof with trenched purlins. Stop-chamfered beams to all
of first floor.
