Dovecote, 15 metres north
west of Roxholm Hall

Dovecote. Early C19. Coursed limestone rubble with red brick dressings. Slate
roof. Circular plan. Single doorway with plank door, and above to the left a
2-light casement, both with segment brick heads. On the roof a square wooden
lantern, with pigeon holes and flight perches, surmounted by a tall hipped roof
and an iron weather vane. Interior: brick lined with over 400 nesting boxes built
into the walls. Roxholm Hall is not included on this list.
