Barn. Probably C16 and C17. Timber frame,later clad in rubble brought to course;
stone slate roof. Rear aisle. East front: 3 bays plus lean-to mistal on left.
Quoins, plinth. To left of centre, cart-entry with some quoins, timber posts and
lintel and harr-hung board doors. To its right a wood-framed stable door and
8-pane window with wood lintel. Stables projecting to right of this not of special
interest. Mistal on left has door and C19 window with stone door. Rear:
blocked threshing door; blocked triangular vents; later windows. Left return:
barn gable rebuilt in brick. Interior: large scantling timbers : four jewelled
arcade posts on padstones with braces to arcade plate and tie-beams; king-post trusses
with angle struts and longitudinal braces to ridge-piece. The barn formerly
extended by a further one or two bays to the south.
