House. Probably 1819 for Charles Mellor (date and initials on pump in garden).
Coursed squared stone, slate roof. 2 storeys. 3 bays with wing to rear left. Plinth;
quoins. Steps up to central 6-panel door under overlight with decorative glazing
bars in plain stone surround with fluted frieze and cornice. C20 sashes in plain stone
surrounds; 1st floor window over doorway linked to it by stone blocks. Eaves band.
Hipped roof. End stacks with strings. Rear: tall, central, round-arched, small-paned
stair window, glazing bars arched at top; flat-faced mullion windows to wing, mullions
of 1st floor window removed.
