Said to have cellars of C14, but dated 1662 on carved lintel of a 4-
centred doorway in porch, with an upper 3-light window and another in porch
gable. A 3-light window on each floor at each side of porch, with strings
over. All windows with stone mullions with convex and fillet mouldings.
A large gabled wing to right has 3 windows on each floor (one old of 3 lights,
others enlarged) and an oval "eye" in top of gable. Low single storeyed
addition on right has one window of 5 lights, and 2 of 3 lights, with
simple chamfered mullions. All red sandstone, with stone roof. Interior
said to have water-clock, powder cupboards, oil paintings on the stone lintels
of the chimney-breasts, and a cheese-press in the basement.
