House and attached wing wall; now dentists' surgery. c1830. Red brick in Flemish
bond, Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays with carriage and pedestrian gate in
screen wall on left. House: 2 nosed stone steps up to central 8-panel door with
fluted side pilasters and fanlight with radial glazing bars under segmental brick
arch. Flanking bays and 1st floor have projecting stone sills to 16-pane sashes
under flat arches. Brick end stacks to front and rear roof slopes. Screen wall:
boarded single and double doors under basket arches; copings at mid-floor level.
Rear: stair-window has round-headed sash with glazing bars.
Interior: entrance hall has 6-panel doors in reeded architraves with foliate corner
bosses and cornices; egg-and-dart ceiling cornice; basket arch on foliate consoles.
Front right room: Tudor-arched cast-iron fire-basket in marble surround with reeded
cornice and 4-leaf clover motifs. Staircase has coiled handrail on stick balusters.
