Monumental slab, c1660. Commemorates Thomas Rhoads (d1660). Sandstone.
Rectangular, with stylised running vine border, a deep central band with
elaborate raised decoration including a large stylised heart, the date "16"
"60" in the upper corners and initials "T" "R" in the lower corners; above
this band, an inscription of incised capitals with a raised decorated initial
letter "H" in a sunk panel; below the band, a verse in elegant incised
script (parts now worn and illegible).
