Irregular structure of 2 builds, with Cl8 front stuccoed in early Cl9. Probably
timber framed core. 2 storeys, 5 windows. High pitched tiled roof with stuccoed
chimneys. High parapet above cornice and blocking course. 2 flat dormers.
Moulded architraves to 1st floor windows, some sashes with bracketed cills,
some long casements. lst floor band. Banded rusticated ground floor with sash
windows. Modern central glazed door has side lights with wrought iron screens.
Blind cases to long lst floor windows.
The Post Office, Nos 1 to 9 (consec) (Park Place Cottages) Glencot, Yew Tree
Cottage and Tanners Cottage, Southdown house, its garden wall and Southdown
Cottage form a group.
