GV II

Water troughs set in drystone-walled recess and fronted by stone setts. c18 or earlier
Millstone grit. 3 stone troughs set on rubblestone plinth, the central trough with
unstoppered outlet hole; a fourth, broken trough set at ground level on right. The
recess in which the troughs are set is of drystone rubble and has quadrant-like walls
to flat rear section, with rubblestone coping and some tooled monolithic coping stones
to left-hand section; in the left-hand section, a stone-lintelled conduit leads water
into the topmost trough, and there is another at a low level in the right-hand section.
Stone setts pave the area in front of the troughs.
