Inn. C18. Refronted C19. Ham stone ashlar facade, coursed rubble to sides and rear; Welsh slate roof between stepped
coped gables; brick end chimney stacks. Two storeys, 3 bays. Hollow-chamfer mullioned windows in chamfered recesses,
with rectangular-leaded 4-centre arched lights; 4-light bay 1, 2-light bay 2, all with labels; projecting angled bay of
1+4+1 lights to both levels bay 3, with king mullions and string over lower window, lead covered flat roof: to right of
bay 2 a cambered-arched doorway with deep label, up 3 steps to C20 door: projecting sign over door. C20 extensions to
rear; interior much altered. Inn established in this name by 1780 (VCH Vol III, 1974).
