House. Late C16 or early C17 timberframed building, refronted in C19 and partially
refenestrated in C20. Roughcast front and C20 cement tiles with 2 brick chimneystacks. One
storey and attics; 3 windows. Two lean-to dormers with casements, the left side one with
sliding sash. Ground floor has 3 C20 metal casements with horizontal glazing bars. Two plank
doors. Rear has gabled outshot and C20 flat-roofed extension. Three bay plan with cellar to
rear, dairy to right side with no access to space above. Dairy has brick paved floor with central
drainage channel and visible wall flaming on brick plinth. Central room has chamfered spine
beam and plank door. End room has spine beam and 4 panelled door. First floor has frame with
jowled corner posts and curved braces. Original floor boards to end room. Plank door to
cupboard and remains of wattle and daub in walls. Roof over accessible two bays has upper
kingpost truss, purlins and substantial rafters.
